Pekha Jatra
The erection of Yolsi (believed to be a divine serpentine or a high wooden pole) in front of Balkumari temple and others along the main street marked the beginning of this festival. During this festival, chariots of four idols (Shree Ganesha, Goddess Balkumari, Lord Shiva with Parvati and Lord Kumar) were taken on a procession around the core town. This Jatra takes place at Sunakothi of LMC which includes ward no. 26 and ward no. 27.
