A festival that fits its name traditionally, the different community has their own story behind Ghode Jatra. Paha Chahare is a festival which is celebrated by the Newari community of Nepal. Paha chare is celebrated the day before Ghode Jatra. People worship God “Luku mahadhyo” the hidden form of Lord Shiva which we can find in every Bahal. A special corner for LuKu Mahadhyo is sited in every Bahal. Ghode Jatra or Known as Pahan Chahare is specially celebrated to worship Luku Mahadyo. People eat samayabaji with their families.
