Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi or Chatha in Newars means the fourth day of the bright lunar fortnight. It was observed in the Nepalese calendar month of Bhadra, starting on the Shukla Chaturthi. The birthday of Lord Ganesh, the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or the start of travel.
